I've got a Gigabyte IK1100 mobo and if I leave my computer alone, I get no beeping but when I am doing things like opening programs etc, I get this beeping coming from the PC speaker. My buddy has the same motherboard and is getting the same beeping. The temperature is fine so that's not the problem.

Anyone heard of this?!

my gigabyte 865 8IPE1000PRO that i just got does the same thing.
I just figured out how to fix it, it was getting annoying!
You have to go under the PC health section where your temps are.
and turn off (disable) all fan monitoring including smart fan for cpu.
and now, no more beeping! :)

Oh ok lol but why would it just randomly beep like that? A possible upcoming BIOS update I assume? Sure is annoying as hell though :)

i agree, i was getting nervous at first that my board was bad or something.
but after playing with those settings, it has never occured as soon as i disabled them all.
somehow the monitoring doesn't work properly. I'm sure a newer bios will fix that
sometime down the road.

You plan on overclocking that 2.4 of yours anytime soon? I've got a 2.8C and I want more.

by use of the bios, manually overclocking only.
I don't use or believe in using any windows overclocking software.
I'm really hoping to hit 3Ghz and i'll be happy.
