Gigabyte Haswell + Sandforce controller problem?

I've heard that the new Gigabyte motherboards have a hard detecting older Sandforce SSDs that use the SF 1200 controller. Can anyone confirm this? Is this also a problem with newer Sandforce SSDs (such as Intel 335)?
