Sheesh! They know how to take advantage of those that can't wait.
I hope people don't decide to waste over $100 on what the board should be going for.

There's a place in the UK offering the Asus P4G8X Deluxe for pre-order at $325+shipping. How's that for expensive?

ePiglet Computing

I've just ordered mine from Ingram Micro UK for $231, ETA 6th January.:)

You may also want to check PriceWatch......I saw a couple for around $240. I contacted a sales rep for Gigabyte......all they could say was that it's out but no clue when the board will go mainstream. Looks like a mid-January purchase for me.......

Hey Coz.....any recommendations (or anyone else who wants to throw anything in) on a Lian-Li case?? I'm in the process of mapping out a system for my GA-8INXP board.....haven't gotten around yet to researching Cases/PS's?/Vid Cards.....leaning towards the 9700pro though.....

Wait for the SiS655. Even if it only offers the level of performance, it will be cheaper.

these boards seem pretty unreasonable. I think sis 655 might be a better idea. I have had this p4 2.53 sittign in front of me for a month and i'm getting annoying. I think i'll just get a PE board and forget that these exsist.

Unless GB prices come down to Earth, I'm sticking with the trusty 845x boards. They offer great performance and stability and a very reasonable price. Springdale will be out soon enough and will offer even better performance than GB at a reasonable price.

i wouldn't mind paying 200 for one of these. So maybe I'll get the asus. But over 300 is just absurd.
