Doubt they would intentionally hamper supply. I know at least four people locally who are interested in buying a 1060. Some were considering the 1060 FE but I advised them to just keep an eye out for the AIB custom models to come in stock for cheaper.

These people aren't interested in paying $400+ for GPUs, and NVIDIA needs to address buyers on lower budgets. Expect them to be cranking out these 1060s as quickly as possible.
