Gigabyte Galaxy 2 water cooling question

Nocturnal

Lifer
Can I use any back plate for the CPU cooler or does it have to be the Galaxy 2 back plate? I lost mine and have a few from regular 775 heat sinks.

Ok, I found the back plate.

Now, how do I go about putting everything back together without having to evaccuate the system of the liquid or is this not possible?

I want to put the CPU heat sink back on but it appears I will have to evacuate the water. Any ideas on how I can avoid this?

make sure the backplate doesnt touch anything in the rear of the motherboard that could cause potential shorts.
