Hi everyone i'm new.

I recently built a computer with a 3570k, GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H motherboard, corsair xms3 16gb 1600mhz ram and i'm running into a few problems. First as soon as the windows boot up, the debug displays "A0" i've checked in the manual it doesn't seem to be much of a problem.
But if i put my computer to sleep and have it wake up, the debug would display "D3". in the manual, "D3" means "Some of the architectural protocols are not available". I don't know what means. The only problem the "D3" causes is that the front panel audio of my Corsair Carbide 400r would not work. My Realtek Audio Manager would detect it but no audio would come through. I even checked that when the Mobo displayed A0 the front panel works but when it displays D3 the front panel would not work.
Now i know i am not the only person with this problem.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Have you updated the BIOS yet? That's the first step. I seem to remember they fixed some sleep state stuff.

Yes! i forgot to mention that before all of this i updated my bios with the @BIOS feature from the F3 to F7. nevertheless, the problem still occurred.

What i don't understand is why the debug displays A0 for a while and then D3. What is most confusing is why Windows recognizes the front audio jack when D3 is displayed but no audio can be sent through.

I have the same mobo and CPU. I have a sleep issue as well. I have tried using two different 7770 cards with the same issue using dual monitors. The main display connect via hdmi will not display after waking the PC.

if you get any help from anyone please message back or post it on this forum, this problem is really getting out of hand. i gotta use a splitter for speakers and headphone now :(

btw i don't even have a discrete graphics and the debug still malfunctions. I am planning on getting one soon but i want to fix this problem beforehand.

Thanks!

Did you every fix your problem? I have a similar setup with a z77x-UD3H mobo. 3570K (OC to 4.1) 16 GB Corsair Vengence, SSD and HD, GTX 670(2) SLI. As soon as I recieved it I noticed the A0 code. After a while it changed to D3. Everything seems to be working fine though at this time but it still concerns me. Let me know what you discover, thanks.

Have you tried the Catalyst 12.6 drivers. From the release notes:

AMD Catalyst 12.6 includes some additional fixes(not found in the AMD Catalyst 12.6 Beta) for the AMD Radeon™ HD 7900, AMD Radeon HD 7800, and AMD Radeon HD 7700 graphics cards for issues related to the GPU hanging when the system goes to sleep. Please ensure that your System BIOS is up to date. Some occurrences of this issue may be related to an outdated System BIOS.
