Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 Revision Differences?

I Just picked up this Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 Z68 MB at microcenter during their $80 off deal and after setting up my machine I did a bios update to find out that there are really two revisions of this board, a 1.0 and a 1.3. Guess which version i have =\.

From the pics on the gigabyte website looks like heatsinks are a little bit different but otherwise I can't really tell the difference physically. Just installed W7 w/o any issues and doing updates now.


Does gigabyte provide a list of revision differences for a mb model?

Just a heads up. Be sure to update the BIOS. I just installed this same MB (v1.3) over the weekend and it destroyed my 2TB drive.

Not sure what it was, but it kept losing my d: drive after being in windows for a few minutes. After a few reboots of trying different settings and trying to figure it out, the drive came up and started showing a RAW format.

I took it out and put in a different HD (run SSD boot / normal HDD for data ) and it was doing the same thing.. i.e., not the drive.

I updated the BIOS and it seems to have been fixed, but not until after losing 1.4TB of data

So now I'm about 4 hours into what is probably going to take a freakin week of getting the data back.

BTW.. yes, i have all the "important" stuff like the pictures backed up.. But nothing else.
