Well, I finally figured out why it wouldn't boot and it was because of my RAM. I'm putting some generic PC2700 stuff in there and it's working fine. Does anyone know of some compatibility issues with Kingston HyperX PC2700 CAS2 512mb chips? I bought two sticks of these and it won't boot with them. I heard you were supposed to boot with a generic piece then adjust RAM timings. However, I can't find anything in the F5 bios that does that for you. Is it just not available in the non-ultra version? Is there anything that can make those HyperX sticks work?

Hey lchyi.

Take a look here . I can't remember seeing anything
about compatability issues with Kingston.

Try Ctrl+F1 in bios, this unhides those extras on my SINXP1394.

(edit) lchyi, I also found this it doesn't say HyperX,
check chip #s
You may just have to relax mem timings, my SINXP booted fine with twin 512 2700 Samsung originals
but bios had them set @ 2.5-7-3-3 (auto setting)
