Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3 RAM detection issue

Ive noticed some performance hiccups lately and found out only half of my RAM is being used. I found out the issue when I swapped out the default HFS for my i5 760 with a Hyper 212+, since I had to rebuild it from scratch again. Though, I did not OC yet.

The mobo detects my 2x2GB of RAM but only my 1st slot is actually enabled. Even though the mobo detects my other stick, at POST it can only use 2GB. I tried swapping each stick to check if one is faulty but they both work and I am also aware of the positioning. Only for the 1st and 3rd DIMM slots for 2 modules, so that isnt the issue.

Besides trying all the hardware fixes, Ive also tried resetting to optimized defaults. Still to no avail, the manual doesnt say that I can enable the other slot since the BIOS will automatically detect the setup itself.

*Windows itself also detects the 4GB but states only 2GB is usable.

Windows 7 Pro x64
Gigabyte GA-P55-USB rev 1.0
Bios v.F8
GSkill 2x2GB DDR3 1600

Any ideas?
