About to get this combo in and wanted to verify the settings in BIOS. Will the mobo auto detect my the stock cpu and memory settings? I assume the multiplier will be 9x and the FSB will be 266 at stock speeds but what about the memory speed and multiplier?

Thanks in advance!

CPU yes, RAM will be your cpu's FSB / 2 = 533mhz by default, unless you make changes to bios.

Thanks for the response. I guess I was confusing myself on how 800 mhz RAM (pc2 6400) would run with a 1066 FSB and 2.4 ghz CPU. I assume from your comment the memory can run any speed up to 800 mhz. So would I just do 533 and 1.5 to be the ram multiplier to get it to 800 mhz? Or am I way over thinking this??

That's if you don't want to touch bios. If you do, you can get ram faster than 1000mhz to run. You can go into bios & MIT menu to set up ram. For GB board, i think it's ratio 3. 2 is 1:1 ratio. I know it's confusing with that board. Keep trying until you get post to read about 800mhz for ram. You may also need to up the ddr2 voltage to keep it stable.

i need a bit of info - i would like to disable the onboard audio on the GA-P35-DS3L but I can't seem to find the BIOS option to do so, is there even one? I am using this mobo for a music recording PC and relying on an external soundcard. I currently have the on-board audio disabled via the System folder on XP but i would like to disable it through the BIOS if at all possible.
