After reading the various P35 reviews, I'm leaning towards the GA-P35-DQ6. However, as I'm still waiting for the roundup (nudge, nudge Gary!), I was wondering how it compares to the ASUS Blitz, the DFI LANParty UT P35-T2R, the Foxconn Mars, and any other similar options. Does anyone have thoughts on this or any useful links?

Of course this doesn't factor in the X38s that are just around the corner.

i have a p35-dq6 and while i have no experience with the other boards, i can tell you that this one handles my q6600 with ease and is a very stable board.

Fry's B&M stores no longer carry Gigabyte products.
I find this true for the Socal area, but don't know if this is just a regional thing or across all Fry's stores.

I'm in N. cal and my local Fry's (Palo Alto) recently started to stock Gigabyte's again. I was there today and they had the DS3R, the S3L and the P35C DS3R. No DQ6 though.

Same here, but replace DQ6 with DFI P35-T2RL. Running 8x400 without a problem on my Q6600.

Do you know why Fry's stores in SoCal stopped carrying Gigabyte products?

It's a shame that they are no longer carried here.

Fry's N. Cal ad today is listing a combo including a Giga P35C DS3R. Hopefully, the S. Cal stores will start stocking Giga boards again. Not much choice of customers if all they stock are ASUS and ECS.

Based on my conversation with the store director, so so demand and weak vendor support were the problems. Once the last batch of P965 goes out the door, that's it.

I'll drop by the FV store today and report tonight. I didn't see any Gigabyte board at the store as of last Sat. Perhaps there's a new shipment on Tuesday.

industry store has a couple of gigabyte mobos. I think they started to stock them up, seeing that they will be missing on the sales of the popular gigabyte p35-series mobos.

Thats excellent news since the Industry store is close to me. Will need to stop by on a weekday and see what models they have and their prices.
