4 days and no answer so starting my question in its own thread...

I have incoming in the mail the X2 550 black. I also have 8 GB of DDR2 from an Amazon "hot deal" expected this week too.

In the "best AM3" question thread here someone mentioned the GIGABYTE GA-MA790FXT-UD5P.

I asked if it supports X2 since I don't see it mentioned on the NewEgg page:

CPU Type Phenom II X4 / Phenom II X3

If not what would be a good one that has a good warranty, service, OC options for someone that hasn't OC really before, doesn't have on-board video (hopefully that cuts down the price not having it on it)...generally a good MB.

I don't do video stuff, just gaming, browsing, watching tv torrents, general app stuff.

ok time to shop around, unless anyone else has a more suited recommendation.
I am not looking to sli/crossfire at this time, as I don't play those heavy graphic FPS more than the MMOs I play, but I have...
I see the MSI 790FX-GD70 is available for pickup at my local Fry's for 169.99 + tax (assuming 8.25% CA) = 184.01.

(edit: Looks like Amazon at 177.33 shipped using super saver shipping.)
