I wonder why they still use the SB600 southbridge. I always thought they would replace that already with the newer SB700. It would be odd to see them refresh boards later this year with the SB700 chipset, instead of using it from the getgo.

Why should they? The SB600 is one of the most stable SB chip in the market. In other words an excellent chipset!
