Torn as in how?
I've not seen either review, but why pay to be an early adapter when you could wait and see(also save some money too)? I have seen the specs that EVGA posts but they are bloated and over hyped just like there prices, witch should cost more than these two boards.
The fact that they are posting scores with it and using LN2 is even less appealing, as I do not think I'll be using(LN2) myself. People love ASUS for over clocking, not had one so can't say. Gigabyte always has a high price, but they have more than proven them selfs in this market. I do not hear good things from ASUS RMA...........

A majority of the i7 reviews are using/have used the P6T Deluxe as the board. This was apparently because it was the most mature and available board at the i7 luanch. This would tell me it is the better of the two right now, but the Gigabyte might get better as new BIOS revisions come along.

FYI - I ordered the P6T myself; so I am putting my $$ where my mouth is. 🙂

I cancelled an order for the Asus P6T Deluxe after I learned: 3 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots (at x16/x16/x1 or x16/x8/x8 mode)

I plan to run a two card SLI or CF config and don't want one operating at PCI-E 8x. I want full x16 with at least two PCI-E slots. Applies to CF or SLI. Appears NF200 chipset is required for x16 across two or more slots, unless board only has two slots..

The Asus P6T Deluxe operates per the "Native 3 Slot" diagram..

Nothing beats Asus motherboards in just about any department... (unless the mobo layout doesn't work out for ya)

Too bad you lose only 1-2% when running 16x/8x on a PCI Express 2.0 board....I would rather have that loss than use the NF200 chip myself.

I think that the only difference between the GA-EX58-EXTREME and the GA-EX58-UD5 is GB's ?New Hybrid Silent-Pipe 2? cooling solution. Other than that I see no difference so basically they have only 2 boards.
