GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3 AM3+ SLI support?

I'm seeing differing views on this. I had heard that NV was willing to license SLI for AMD's 9xx-series chipsets.

Notice that it lists both CrossFire and SLI.

Notice that SLI support is conspicuously missing.

What's the deal here? If this board supported SLI, I think I might get it. Anyone know for sure? Did it support SLI with early BIOS versions, but remove SLI support later on?

The plot thickens. The GA-990XA-UD3 is supposed to have SLI support.
If you look at the pictures of the board on Gigabyte's site, it shows the SLI logo on the motherboard itself.

If you look at the board pics on Newegg's site, the SLI logo is MISSING!

Although, under product details, it does have this:
"Multi-display support with 2 way SLI and 2 way CrossFireX"

My 990XA has the sli logo on the motherboard as well as the box. Should be good to go!

I personally have never heard of ExcaliburPC before. The Better Business Bureau has rated them at D minus on a scale of A+ to F.

It doesn't appear that the AM3+ 970 chipset boards support SLI.
