hi! i got a packardbell with a Gigabyte GA-8TRC410MNF-RH motherboard. it had 2 gb of ram memory(2x1gb) and i tried to change one of them with a 2gb kingston ram memory and it dosen't work....cand somebody tell me why or what can i do....please

What speed/model number is the new 2gb kingston ram memory? You may need to get slower ram since the motherboard won't give you any voltage options.

Also, in general you'll want to have two sticks of the same ram instead of something like one 1gb and one 2gb stick.

the new memory is working at 667 MHZ just like the old 1 gb memories...
