I just got this board. Installed everything... seems now that it got real slow in spite of having a 2.4GHZ Intel 4 CPU ? Ideas..? On the 8IEXp it is way faster than the same one I have... just different Mobos. I am not certain if it is the ICH4 Chipset or even the Intel Application Accelerator that is giving the problem. The Mobo BIOS is F2... I saw F3 on GA site... will that help ?Suggestions or anyone experiencing this slowdowns... clicking on an icon or anything else takes so long whereas the other GA Mobo is immediate.

If it's taking a while to click on an icon, it probably has something to do with your hard drive. Did you change any components when you moved from the 8IEXP to the 8PE667? Use a hard drive utility or your BIOS SMART function to check if your hard drive is dying.

I actually built another totally new one with new components.. I installed the Intel Application accelerator but took it out... that was the cause I thought . It did speed up a little but now typing this online and encoding it is slowing down again. BTW I am using the onboard Intel Lan. I will try tomorrow with another Network card.... as in the other mobo and all the other computers ... all 2.3-24 ghz have their own PCI NIC.. maybe that is why. They are using LinkSys version 5.1 NIC.. and that is fast. It is probably the NIC...
