I am currently looking into my next major upgrade and it involves the construction of a P4 NW system. I am considering both paths for memory, DDR and RDRAM, for my upgrade and am leaning mostly towards the RDRAM path, but still have DDR in the back of my mind. After reading the i845D roundup here and reading more reviews of the Gigabyte GA-8IRXP motherboard on other websites, if I choose to go the DDR path this will be the board I most likely will go with. My problem is, I currently have two Kingmax PC2700 DDR DIMMs and remember reading a review of the 8IRXP where they said that the board did not like two Kingmax DIMMs and fixed the problem by replacing on the the DIMMs with Twinmos memory. I was wondering if anybody has this configuration, Gigabyte GA-8IRXP motherboard and 2x Kingmax 256MB PC2700 DDR SDRAM, and had/has any problems with it. If you do, have you solved the problem other than buying new memory? Thanks.
