What is the mass opinion regarding these two boards:

Gigabyte GA-880ma-ud2h am3 $99.99 + $2.99 S&H=$102.98

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128445

MSI 880GMA-E45 am3 $99.99 - $20.00 MIR + $2.99 S&H= $82.98

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813130276

Then couple it with a: AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition Callisto 3.2GHz $89.99 total. S&H free

I would hope like heck the Phenom II x 2 unlocks at least one more core.

This machine should be great until Bulldozer comes out then I will look at the market again. (If I feel like I need to based on my usage, etc.)

Then again I see that Sandy Bridge in coming out this month!

To many choices. I cant seem to make up my mind.o_O

You need to build a sandy bridge its way faster than your x2 555..the system you want to build is on the outs ...all this coming from an AMD guy...im on my first intel system x58 920DO and coming from a 955 phenom system this i7 system blows me away...the SB systems fly and o/clock like mad..very simple to o/clock....unless your budget is at its limit then the amd system is all you can afford, but if you can squeeze a sb into your budget you will be amazed.....my x58 system amazes me constantly and im really hoping amd comes out with a hit with bulldozer...but at this point i dont think ill give up my i7 system...im telling you straight the technology in SB is the latest thing out and it flys..
if you wait till the end of feb you can pick up the new b3 motherboards...ill bet if you go SB you wont upgrade to bulldozer....Guy it all comes down to your budget....
Its kinda like 1 system [amd] would be adequit and the other would be lightning and good for many years to come...anyway as a first time intel guy and being an avid amd fan since 1996 im amazed at these i7/i5/i3 systems....good nite...

Well I guess I have waited this long I can wait a while longer until Sandy Bridge new boards come out. You know how it is when you get bit by the "new build" bug.:D

Gigabyte is a really good board maker. MSI has been hit or miss at best.

I am also waiting for bulldozer. Should at least cause intel to drop prices. The new AM3+ 9xx AMD chipsets are supposed to be out in the next period.
