well I have no clue what else to do than to ask for help. I got a cheap computer (mobo, cpu, 128mb ram, seagate 40gb) for my brother and intalled his old harddrive (20gb), Ati Rage Fury and SB Live! Platinum into it. It boots up fine and all but with _every_ Windows installation I tried it hangs. I have copies of NT 4.0, Win98, Win2000 (no warez, all original OEM CDs). The furthes I have was Win98 where everything is fine until the first log-on when the computer starts "finishing up the installation" and detects the screen and then it's over/reboot. NT4 and 2k both wont even come that far - they randomly give me a blue screen saying either KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED or IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Now I've heared the KT133A chipset sometimes has problems with Live! cards, but would it just make the setup go blue before any sound is even activated?
Any input would be very much appreciated..
