Hi All,
I have the above mentioned board which is suppose to have the VIA KT 333 chip. I want to buy a barton 2500+, to upgrade my 1800+. I go to Gigabyte's site ,check out the supported cpu's. It makes no mention of supporting any 2500+ ( does amd make a athlon 2500+?), but does say it supports a 2600+ w/ 266 bus speed. The site say's it doesn't support any 333 bus speed cpu's, which I don't understand since this is a 333 chipset board.
I'm running the latest bois off gigabyte's site
Is anyone running a GA-7vrxp w/2500+ barton, if so any special drivers I would need to use or precautions I should take.
I checked the site up and down in and out, not able to find any mention of either.
If not able to run the barton 2500+ on this board , would anyone have an idea or know why.
I sent an e-mail to gigabyte ,no answer yet.
Any help would be appreciated!!!
Thanking all who answer in advance!!!
Peace and Happiness!!!!
Ed
