Have had this setup for quite some time, but ran in to some problems about 4 months ago.
was using an Athlon 2000+ plus just fine for quite some time, untill it finally went out on me testing someone elses system.

So i replaced it with a 2100+ and it was running hot and shutting down.75C was the temp when posting if i remember.but it ran just fine in another system with same cooling setup.

so i swapped that for an Athlon 2500+ barton, and it also was running hot and shutting down, but ran fine in a backup board with the same HS/F setup.

So i used an old Athlon 800 and the thing runs flawless on the system.
so i tried an Athlon 1900+ now,and curious if i should start looking for another board or if this one should be fine.

Temps on this one:

Boot is showing 49C in BIOS:
Hmonitor shows 46c-49c idle in windows:
Hmonitor showing up to 52C while gaming:

Turned on Front Fan,back exhaust fan,and opened case and readings are:

Hmonitor after botting into windows 39C
Idling while typing this its at 43C
Gaming goes up to around 47-50c

Are these temps about right?or should i just look for another board since i was having so many heating problems on the last few CPU's.

Note:The CPU before this 1900+ was an 1800+ and its now burnt.got it used, and used it for maybe 2 months.

Specs: Gigabyte GA-7VAXP Ultra - Latest Bios
1.3G PC3200
Athlon XP 1900+ CPU (testing)
Taisol 2100+ or better Compat HS/F

Thanks for any advice.

Quick update:

After gaming for a few the system beeped on me and shutdown.
was smelling a sort of "new shoe" smell for the last 30 mins before shutdown.
checked the back of the PSU and it was pretty hot so i pulled it out and could smell a strong almost burning smell.(cheap POW 400W name brand thats been used for 1.5 years or so)

And the Hmonitor icon on the taskbar was red before shutdown, and i remember the Power showing 65C.
I swapped out that PSU and put a sparkle 300W in it for now,and the Icon is now yellow, with the Power reading 55C - CPU between 43C and 49C or so. (Idle/gaming)

Testing this one at the moment.
