Gigabyte GA-7VAXP northbridge fan...

Is anyone else having problems with the shiny gold fan that's attached to the northbridge heatsink? It's started to vibrate like crazy recently, and it's just a nuisance. I've taken it apart numerous times, but can't eliminate the noise. Does anyone have a solution? Can the board function ok with the fan removed?

cheap pos... i took mine off... temp seems fine... you can get a better fan for the hs if you want.

it took me a week to figure out what that noise was... thought it was the fan on the 9700 going already... since thats the only other 40mm fan i have running

Mines died about a couple of months ago. I've been running without since then. Seems easy enough to replace but haven't gotten around to it.
