I'm scratch building a system and am strongly considering the Gigabyte GA-7vax-1394-a as the MB I use. My last system died when the BIOS was improperly flashed, and I decided the next MB would be a Gigabyte so I could take advantage of the dual bios feature. Does anyone have any experience with this board? Is it stable? Is there anything that I should be especially aware of before buying this MB?
If anyone knows of another similar board that they think is a better deal for the money please feel free to suggest it. The only real requirements for me are that it be sockett A, have onboard LAN and Sound, have long term upgrade potential, and have dual bios. The GA-7vax-1394-a seemed the best MB with all that, but if you know more than me feel free to let me know.

STable as a rock. Been running it with 6 hard drives, AMD 2000 running at 1.77 mhz, slightly overclocked. Not a blip, hiccup or failure. The 1394 function is great as well as the usb 2.0. I'm ready to build again also, it's either the 7vaxp or the 7n400-L which seems to be having a bit of trouble from what I've read.
