Gigabyte GA-7S748-L comments

I'm looking for a good Athlon XP board. I'm in a tight budget and I found that Gigabyte GA-7S748-L with Sis 748 chipset performs well in benchmarks except in gaming. It performs similar and almost better than KT600. It's well priced ($ 55)and got decent feature set.As I'm not using SATA or Raid I think it gives you best bang for what you pay for........ Please give your comments on this board...........

Dunno about the board in particular. But I do confirm that the SiS 746/746FX/748 chip (all the same, just different revisions for faster FSB) are quite solid performers. Also seen on popular boards from ASRock and ECS.

Computer geeks has an Iwill sis 748 board for $35 plus shipping, last time I checked.
