I'm planning to return Asus A7V600 and get one of following:

1. Gigabyte GA-7N400L1 Socket A nFORCE2 400FSB DDR400 8XAGP Motherboard with S/L/ATA133/USB 2.0

OR

2. Asus A7N8X New Version, now support AMD Barton 333/400Mhz FSB USB 2.0 with Lan/Sound/USB2.0/ATA133

I have this setting:

AMD Athlon XP Barton 2500 +
OCZ PC 2700 DDR 512MB(one stick, not two)
ATi Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB
D-Link Gigabit lan card
Sound Blaster Audigy 2

So I do not need onboard sound or lan but what I want to know is, if it's safe to use an ATi card with nForce2 chipset motherboard. And which one do you recommand? 1 or 2?

Why are you returning the A7V600? I'm curious because I was thinking about buying one of them for a system here at home.

With A7V600, game performance isn't any better than my previous motherboard, which is A7V8X KT400. It's alot stable than KT400 though. I do surf the net and watch DVD and all, but mostly I play games(alot)
