Alright I just got this board. I threw in a 1200 thunderbird, 2 sticks unregestered crucial ddr, winfast geforce 2 ultra card and a Sound blaster 5.1 gamer sound card. using win 98
When I do a complete install of drivers and utilities for the sound blaster the pc won't boot into windows. I get windows protection error! when I go into safe mode and remove the drivers and such everything works ok (so far). Does any one know why this is. I mean the on-board sound card sounds cool but I don't want to use it when I have a better one waiting in the wings? I installed the via 4 in 1's 4.32 Amd Agp mini port driver 4.80. No change in the situation can anyone help me out on this.

I can't think of anything off hand but hop on over to the Gigabyte section of amdmb.com and your bound to get an answer, very helpful/knowlegable over there. Great choice in mobo btw :D
