I have to admit, the DS3 is an exceptional board. Sadly though, I made the mistake of buying the G965 version because I was too lazy to shop for a graphics card. I decided against the RMA and kept the board. I have been trying to do stuff with this board but found limited support. Most forums only discuss the P965 version which doesn't provide much help for me as it seems the most things can be fixed by upgrading to F6 bios.... well guess what, the G965 does haven't the same bios with these fixes!! argh.. That's why for us rare (and stubborn) users of the G965-DS3 we need support of our own.
Here's a few things that most people know, but some of you may want to know about the G965:
-G965 differs from the P965 by the fact that it has integrated graphics.
-G965 is limited to overclock to only 360 mHz FSB due to the integrate graphics.
-The integrate card, x3000, does not currently have a driver that will unlock its fullest potential yet.
Here's something that really frustrated me with the limited support that I think some of you G965-DS3 users might want to know about...
Configuring RAID to install Windows Vista RC2
On support forums for the P965 version they recommended upgrading to the F6 bios and that helped Vista stop doing a reboot loop during installation on a RAID 0 array. Well the G965's F5 bios didn't work for me. I spent a few hours of research and found this out that finally allowed me to install Vista on my RAID 0 array:
-The Gigabyte SATA controller is a J-Micron JMB363 controller. The 1.14.1 pre-install driver version on Gigabyte's website did not work for me. Upon further inspections I found that there is in fact an updated driver from J-Micron, version 1.17.03 . Here's the link for it:

Using that driver during your installation will not only allow Vista to see your RAID 0 array, but it'll fix the reboot loop problem too.
