Gigabyte EasyTune fan speed settings 'permanent' ?

I intend getting the Gigabyte GA-Z87MX-D3H. The manual states ( under Fan Speed Control ) :
Normal : Allows the fan to run at different speeds according to the CPU temperature. You can adjust the fan speed with EasyTune based on your system requirements. (Default)

Are these adjustments 'permanent' or only applied only when EasyTune is running ( ie, when Windows with EasyTune installed is booted ) ? For eg. if I use EasyTune to control fan speed and then boot into another version of Windows ( I multi-boot ) will those fan settings also be applied when I run the other Windows ?

Have not used EasyTune before & am upgrading after a long time.

I don't think EasyTune will be accessible throughout the entire system. It should only regulate when EasyTune is running after the OS has loaded. If that particular OS does not have EasyTune, it should not work. It might be a different case if EasyTune is controllable in the BIOS.

Do NOT use EasyTune to try to OC your CPU... it does so by pumping up the BUS frequency, which the new Intel chips don't like.

You can adjust your fan profile in the BIOS, that makes it 'permanent,' I don't know about ET. To be honest, I didn't find much to use with ET... about the only thing I used it for was watching the voltages, which it is pretty good at. My last OS rebuild I left ET out.
