gigabyte duo-a boot from cd

I have a gigabyte 8I915P duo-a....it won't let me boot from a cd from my DVD RW drive.....I have the drive setup on the IDE1 controller....any suggestions? there are supposedly 3 controllers but none work so far.

ok i got it booted and windows xp installed...it recognizes my dvd R/RW drive but will not read any discs....any ideas....anyone????

Delete it and reboot windows will install it again, make sure your updated with all the service packs and patches first.

hrrmm...i have tried that....whats weird is that it worked in my old gateway pc which was a p3 i believe.....anyother ideas?
