I plan on upgrading my current AMD sysytem to a C2D. I am having a hard time, even through research, figuring out if this ram will work well with this mb.

The rest of my upgrade will consist of e4300 and EVGA 8800gts 640.

I would appreciate, in particular, feedback from those running this specific configuration.

As far as I can tell, most ram will work with most motherboards, I would see no problem in your selection at all. In fact, I may end up with that exact selection in a few months myself.

lots of people have this config and it works great. The patriot memory will boot at 1.8 V so there should be no problem.

I thought it would work myself. It seems the only time anyone posts any information about computer hardware on the internet is when they are having a problem with it. I read a few articles about individuals who have had issues with this ram and mb. I am sure there are probably thousands of others who are having no issues.

Maybe we should start a website dedicated to people who love their computers and want to let the whole world know about it! :)

Well forget the Patriot ram. I got in on this deal. The Crucial ram is listed on the Gigabyte website as being compatible with the DS3. Thanks for all your help!
