Hi all -

What combination of BIOS settings do I change to get the CPU fan to run the
speeds it needs to run.
Right now it is always on 100%.
When I first built this thing, it ran at variable speed.
Then I played with various settings to underclock my CPU (in order to underclock the RAM because it was not running stable) and another thing I did is run some stress test software in Windows called "OCCT" and since then the fan has been running 100% speed at all times.

I *think* I've tried pretty much every combination in BIOS on settings that refer to the fan but not for sure.

Thanks for any advice!
Oh I'm running latest BIOS from Gigabyte; version 11.

what fan are you running?
if it's a 3-pin you need to set the fan control to legacy iirc.

AFAIK that hsf has 3 pin connector so its gonna go on full blow 100 percent all the time. Get a fan mate or one of those silverstone floppy drive fan controllers. Need 4 pin to get control via MB.

Use Gigabyte's EasyTune software to set the fan speed.
