Hello, I've narrowed down my problems to either the MB or the CPU. The thing is the computer began to restart after being powered on for 3 secs 2days ago. I've unplugged everything but 1 stick of ram and the cpu.
By mistake I left the 12v rail unplugged and the computer will attempt to start, meaning the PSU and the cpu fan will power up and stay on, but if i plug back in the 12 rail, it goes back to before where it will reboot itself after about 3secs.
I took the psu to be tested and it checks out ok.. corsair HX620w, mb is gigabyte DS3 rev. 3.3 with a E6600. Everything was left stock when i got the system back in march and was running fine till 2days ago. Any thoughts?
Typing this on my back up 98 box and its killing me.. Thanks for any help you an offer!
