Hello i just recently purchased a GA-7N400 pro 2 mobo.
I have installed winxp on a sata raid setup.
Have installed all the drivers.
Problem: I have a cable modem on 2mb and a dlink router. " computers are connected to this router. The first computer (mine) with the mobo will absolutley no matter what i do NOT connect to the internet even though the lan cable shows as connected IN the network connections area and also the light at the back is indicating its detected.
So why in the heck will internet explorer or any internet related things on my computer not detect an internet connection. Its definitley not the router as the second computer which is connected to it gets access with no problems. ive tried resetting the cable modem and turning thngs on in a specific order.
Ive tried updating the nforce drivers to newest possible . Ive even updated the network lan drivers.
The other thing i noticed is even if i remove the router and just have the cable modem itself with a usb cable running to the computer it STILL wont detect the internet even though the modem was showing up in the hardware devices section. ANY help whatsoever here whould be greatly appreciated. Thanks
