Gigabyte Board and Athlon 2500+

Ok I can't seem to get a definte answer to this question. So here goes one more time.

I'm getting an Athlon XP 2500+ and DDR400 memory. The 2500+ has a FSB of 333mhz(166mhz). Now in order to synchronize the FSB and the ram I need to bumb the FSB to 400mhz(200mhz). Now the case is, the recent 2500+ have a locked multiplier, so If I raise the FSB to 200 its going to be 11x200=2200ghz, which is overkill and may burn out my cpu. My intention was to lower the multiplier to 10 so that I'm playing it safe. But because of the locked issue I can't.

The question is, will lowering the voltage after raising the FSB to 200 help the overheating issue?

The Gigabyte board(which people say is best for overclockers) is the "GA-7N400-L" model.
 
There shouldn't be an overheating issue. XP3200's come with the same retail heatsink/fan that the XP2500's come with. As long as you don't increase the voltage there's no risk of "burning out" your CPU.

I'll almost guarantee you that you won't be able to lower your voltage (vCore) after raising your FSB to 200. You may even need a voltage bumb to reach 11x200. Nothing to worry about though. Just run it at 11x200 with lowest vcore you can.
