Hi guys,

just trying to get some info as I've been out of the computing loop due to living in a void for the last couple of years and I seem to have missed a huge jump in technology. I'm trying to look at this video card (mentioned in the title) which can be found http://www.microdirect.co.uk/home/pr...gb-gddr5-pci-e
and trying to figure out if this is comptible with bluray and high def. There seems to be a lot of info there, but like i said, out of the game a little while so kind of lost on what i should be looking for. Any help would be great. This card is gonna be going with this mobo http://www.microdirect.co.uk/home/pr...rd-ga-ex58-ud5

any help would be great, cheers folks.

what do you mean is it compatible?

assuming you have a bluray drive, or you're playing high-def rips the video card will have no problems displaying the movie. you would obviously need a powerful enough CPU to do this as well.

you shouldn't have to worry about the video much, getting the proper audio from bluray to your speakers or receiver is more of a headache.
