I couldn't decide if this thread should go into Motherboards or Technical Support. If a mod thinks it's in the wrong place, feel free to move it.

My Gigabyte K8NS kicked the bucket. Can somebody provide a telephone # where I can describe my problems in english to Gigabyte or a website where I can request a RMA? I bought it from Newegg.com, and they specifically state that they won't RMA the board for me in the product description. I emailed these jokers over 96 hours ago and they haven't even begun to process my message, according to their web application at http://ggts.gigabyte.com.tw/. Thank you!

Gigabyte, Asus, MSI and many other of the largest companies are notorious for their slow responses. They are so large, yet they don't have enough people to handle the volume of emails very fast.

I would email them again or call 626-854-9338

Thanks, I'll try calling them. I must be old fashioned, but I would think that they could take less than four days to even read my inquiry.

I RMA'd a gigabyte motherboard. I e-mailed them and they responded I think 2 days later, but I wasn't even sure if my e-mail had gone though until then, as I was getting a message saying that the address was invalid or something to that nature. In any case, after I got my RMA number, it took about 8 days from the time I sent in the motherboard till the time I got the replacement. Not too bad overall, once they responded to the initial e-mail, and the replacement board is still running good.

Gigabyte is one of those companies I wouldnt deal with. They only offer 1 year warranties on their boards in the US, while they offer 3 years in most other markets. Also they dont have any easy way to organize an RMA online.

Asus, Aopen, MSI all have 3 year warranties and fairly good online RMA methods.

They finally got back to me. It took 5 1/2 days though.

Actually, their RMA policy now says that they offer a 1 year parts and labor warranty (counted from mfg. date) on motherboards and a concurrent 3 year labor warranty (I guess they would send me an invoice for the replaced components?). They have a pretty streamlined online RMA process too, it seems. I couldn't find a link on their front page, but the tech who replied to me said to go here:

http://rma.gigabyte-usa.com/

if anybody else in the states needs it. As for how long it'll take to get a response...
