Hi all --
I'm running a Gigabyte 965P-S3 with F6 BIOS
If I keep my SATA HD on the SATA RAID Controller (purple SATA port), the controller recognizes the drive correctly. But if I keep it on the Intel Controller, the drive isn't recognized. Naturally, installing any type of OS is a problem if the drive isn't there, but I guess it's compounded by my desire to run Linux on this box. Any tips?
I apologize for creating a new thread for this, as many people have been having problems with this board/chipset, but I've been scouring google the last two days and haven't really found anything regarding this particular problem. Thanks for your help.
The SATA/IDE onboard controller is set to IDE.
Am I missing something obvious here? Should the HD be recognized somewhere in the BIOS? Or is the Intel controller for some reason bad?
