Gigabyte 965P-S3 BIOS upgrade

Should I upgrade BIOS to F9 ?

I have a Intel Duo E6420 that works fine on my Gigabyte S3 right now with BIOS version F8 but for some reason (still have stock cooling fan/heatsink) I can't overclock to 3 or 3.2 ghz at stock voltage. Could this bios help fix this issue ?

How do i know if I have revision 1 or 3.3 of the Gigabyte S3 please ?

The revision number is written on the motherboard itself. It's down in the corner by the PCI slots, near the edge.

Thanks so should I upgrade to F9 from F8 ?
