I've been having problems getting my new rig to boot up, it's either a bad PSU, Mobo, or the RAM I got is incompatible with my Mobo. I Got both Gigabyte GA-965P-S3 and Corsair 2GB 240 Pin DDR2 yesterday along with other components of my new system. My question is that my board supports 1.8V DIMMs but the Corsair's are at 1.9V, would this explain why my system is unable to boot up or to POST.

Other Hardware:
Ultra V-Series 500W PSU
C2D E6400
Nvidia BFG 7900 GS

Try this, use one stick to boot to the bios, set the ram voltagae to 1.9v, shut it down. Add the other stick.

Did you get it to work yet? I did a search on NewEgg and the motherboard that you are using says it accepts DDR2 800 and the corsair you bought is DDR2 667. Basically, i think you just bought the wrong memory. You need DDR2 800 RAM. I don't own that motherboard so i can only confirm with what i see on NewEgg.

Im almost positive this is your problem, if your memory really is DDR2 667 and your motherboard only accepts DDR2 800.

I think you might be wrong. I think that a board that supports DDR2 800 will also support DDR2 667 and DDR2 533.

Sorry for the delayed response, but my original question was that the RAM I bought says it runs at 1.9Volts while my board only supports 1.8Volts, I was worried whether or not this was the problem when my computer wasn't booting up. It ended up being a faulty motherboard, I got another one and the memory now runs perfectly. And yes the board supports DDR2 speeds up to 800, not just DDR2 800
