These are not going to be to detailed just yet but, I am happy with my results. I have a 2.26b B0 stepping cpu on the above mentioned mb. I have the PCI/AGP locked atrt 66/33. My complete rig is in my sig.
I have been able so far to run at 160mhz (2720mhz) on stock voltage, well actually based on Evan review of the board it is a little low. MBM shows 1.47v, stable (currently authoring a DVD) CPU temp IDLE of 35 and load 42. I have run 3D mark 2001 SE, and PCMark with no problems. My DVD authoring is in its 2nd hour with no probs. Already played UT3 for an hour or so. I an new to the testing so if anyone can guide me to a better suited program LMK.

I am also going to put this in the CPU forum.

is 160 the highest you can do on default voltage or you haven't pushed it farther?

845PE boards with a decent P4 CPU, stock HSF and quality (Enermax) PSU will average anywhere from 160-166MHz FSB on default voltage (1.5V). He might be able to go a bit higher, but orion7144 has done good enough for now. You won't get to 166MHz FSB without more voltage, but your CPU may be especially great, but since it's B0 it's probably not spectacular like the C1's.

A better heatsink will be required to get above 166MHz FSB, but if you "just" want to have a stable overclock, don't bother with additional cooling or voltage, and stay at 160MHz (but you should at least *attempt* 162 and 163 next).

Good luck! :)

O.K. I did some more tests before I left for work tonight. I am currently running at 165 (2805mhz) with default voltage and was able to play UT3K for like 45 min. I started Prime95 before I left and just talked to my wife and she said it was still running (about an hour). I am starting to get curious as to how far this will go. I don't realy want to have to touch the cpu voltage until I am aproved by my wife to buy another one. Plus I want to wait for the HT's to come down a bit in price. BTW this is an OEM processor with a coolermaster $19 HSF combo from Fry's.

Prime95 ran all night with no problems. Now if we could only figure out how to enable HT in these processors?

orion7144, those are excellent results for that motherboard.

As far as enabling HT is concerned, you can't; only 3.06GHz Pentium 4 processors support HT at the moment.
