Ok, simply i built a computer for my cousin who im living with at first we couldn't see the network but that was fixed when we got the case and put the comp in the computer area and switched the network cable. Well it was working fine you could see it on the network and the net worked, now all of a sudden after about a month it stops working, i formatted and reinstalled but even with the drivers off the gigabyte site it didn't detect any driver that would work. So his friend came over and he plugged in a 100mbps card and all of a sudden the gigabit starts working for the internet only, and we can see his computer on the network but when we try to access it it says

\\Alex is not accessible. You might not have persmission to use this network resourse. Contact the admin of this server to find out if you have access persmissions.
The network path was not found.

Well he gets a similar message when he tries to go from his computer to any of the others. the router we're using is a Linksys BEFSR81 with cat5e wiring (i know he can't use the full gigabit untill i get to putting the new wires in and my gigabit switch).

All most forgot the specs
