GigaByte 8ihxp Setup and Config

I have a
GA-8IHXP Mobo
Intel P4 2.26 Retail box CPU w/heatsink and fan
Kingston PC1066 256MB RDRAM / QTY 2
Gainward Ti 4200 128MB Special Edition Video Card
Dual WD800JB hard drives
Win2K with a Raid 1 going the two drives.

My computer is running like a dog, I got a rating of 2000+- CPU, 2000+- Memory and a 537+- HD benchmarks with PCMark. Comparable machines out there are getting darn near 10,000 on the CPU. I can't figure out what I have configured wrong.

I have flashed the Bios and still no glory..

1st and foremost, what operating system are you running?

Did you remember to install the Intel INF drivers 1st? Without these installed, you will always have miserable performance...

Did you do a clean install of the operating system, or just throw the system together and let Windows redetect everything?
