Gigabyte 8IEXP and the EasyTune4 Utility?!?

Can you overclock an 8IEXP with the EasyTune4 Utility? It shipped with my mobo and when installed and ran says it has trouble reading the BIOS info. and doesn't support this board. I've heard of others using it without problem.

Why me? Why me? Why me?

Why would they ship something with the board that isn't compatible. (That's a rhetorical question. ;-)

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks - T

Greetings Hamburgerpimp! I've read your posts... nice rig.

I'll get my system specs up soon, but I'm running the same combo: 2.26cpu on 8IEXP. I got it to run (unstressed) at 2.72 without adjusting the vcore...WooHoo!

How would I install EasyTune4 wrong?!? Could it be because I flashed to the newest BIOS (f6) when I set up the system Monday? I downloaded the newest beta of ET4 that they had on the Giga-Byte site. Maybe they aren't synced yet? What BIOS are you running?

Thanks,
T

Nope. Settings in BIOS to Enable/Disable and to change the ATA/RAID mode of the controller. Make sure they're what you want them to be.
