I have a very unique problem:
I have a problem with my computer and I believe that it may be power supply related.
I have a Gigabyte 7VAXP motherboard w/ an Athlon XP 2100+, with Visiontek Geforce 3 chipset. I also run Windows XP w/ service pack 1
I have a 300W EG301P-VB power supply in a case also made by Enermax
Anyway, my problem is:
Whenever I want to turn on the computer I have to flip the switch in the back of the case that is directly part of the power supply. Whenever I flip that switch the fans start spinning and the PC sounds like it is turned on, but the PC does not boot up.
Only when I press the button front of the case does the PC begin to boot up and everything works as usual. Then when the time comes to shut down the PC, instead of the computer automatically shutting off, I have to flip the switch in the back of the computer that is part of the power supply. I have to do this everytime.
Keep in mind that despite this problem my PC functions with good stability and I have no problems aside from this annoying problem. Am I not giving the motherboard enough juice?
