gigabyte 6800gt or ATI x800xt

I will be upgrading in the next few weeks and am having a tough time deciding which cards to get. I currently have a Athlon 2900xp, 1gb pc 3200 dual channel, MSI K7N2 Delta mobo, and a 9800 pro card. I will be upgrading to a 3500+ 64 bit, MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum, 1gb Corsair Dual channel and either a x800 xt or a 6900gt. I have really been looking at the Gigabyte 6800gt http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=322236 (check out the heatsink) or a Visiontek x800 xt. The Visiontek is $80 more but packs a wallop. The question is would I get better performance out of the x800 xt or the 6800gt if it was overclocked. Would it be worth the extra $80 for the ATI card. If so would the performance be worth the cost? I know the 6800gt can be OC'd to ultra speeds but if I chose not to OC how much difference would there be then. Finally, will I really be able to tell a huge difference from my 9800pro? Thanks guys for your time in answering.

Or you could get a PowerColor X800XL here for $369 which is $50 cheaper than the Visiontek you were looking at.

Either card will give you a very noticeable speed increase over your 9800 Pro.

Well, he's restricted to AGP so the X800XL is out.

The 6800GT is a good choice. It's $399 at Newegg, but shipping options could make ZZF a better deal.
