Gigabyte 6800 GT and... Stuttering?

I get this odd stuttering in all games, wondering if anyone has experienced the same. Games include, farcry, hl2, WoW (open gl, d3d) and a few others. Could this be a problem with the vid card? Or is this some normal HD lag? It's nothing major, but annoying as heck. I just want it to run smooth. Btw I've tried all different graphic settings, my card is not oc'ed, I've tried the coolbits render frames ahead thingy. Fast writes off. To no effect. I'm running:

MSI K8t NEO
Athlon 3200xp
1 gig mushkin ddr333 ram
All my games are installed on an SATA drive 7,200 rpm.

Audigy 2 value

500 watt aspire psu

Any suggestions?

Edit: Its AGP

I had the same thing with my 6800 OC, kaluminati. For instance, when Doom 3 or Call of Duty would start, the screen would freeze for a second or two, then it would stutter ... I reinstalled my motherboard drivers and cleaned out my force drivers using driver cleaner, then reinstalled the force drivers and reinstalled DX9c and that seemed to have helped a lot. I also changed the size of my page file (under Windows 2000) and I think that might have helped too.

What size should my page file be? I know very little about pagefiles, should there be one page file? I notice you can make a pagefile for each specific partition in winxp.

I think the basic formula is 1.5 x your system ram ... and you should make the innitial and maximum size the same number. If you have more than one drive or partition, I think you can put the page file on it's own drive or partition and that may speed things up ... I'm not saying this is the magic tweak for stuttering - it's just something you can experiment with to see if it helps. I also dropped my AGP in the bios from 128 to 68, which some people think helps ... but I haven't tried to isolate each tweak to see which was doing what - I just kind of slapped them all on, which is a dumb way of going about it.

Anyway, here is one page file tweaking guide.

There may be better ones out there - just google them.
