Hey guys, long time lurker, first time poster.

So before I get into my problem, I'll give you some background info on my setup:

Running my 10/1 High Speed connection onto a Linksys BEFW11S4 Wireless B Router. Then the router is hooked up to a (newly purchased) Netgear GS105 Gigabit switch with support for Jumbo Frames. All computers on the network (4 total, 3 wired, 1 wireless) all have statick ip addresses. Cabling to all 3 systems is store bought Cat6 patch cable. No problems so far. Plug my three systems, which all have Onboard Gigabit NICs (Asus P4C800 Deluxe running Windows Server 2003, A8n-SLI Deluxe running XP Pro and P5B Deluxe running XP Pro).

Attached is a small picture of the setup

Poor quality pic ahead

Blue cable(Cat5e) is from the modem, yellow(Cat5e) is the cable from the router to the switch and the green cables are the Cat6.

Ok, so now to my problem. When I plugged in each computer for the first time, they all connected fine, picked up as gigabit, speeds were about 3-4x faster than my previous setup. So I restart my main rig (P5B Deluxe, C2D e6300 o/ced to 3.4, 8800GTS, 2GB OCZ Gold etc) the link indicators on the switch are saying I'm back at 100Mb/s. So I check the status of the connection and lo and behold, I'm at 100Mb/s. So I think ok, reset the switch, as in power it off and back on, goes through its quick little diagnostic, and poof, I'm at 1Gb/s. Restart again to see if it holds, and it doesn't (Also note that if I disable the connection and re-enable it, I get the same results as resetting the switch, it connects at 1Gb/s).

So I tried with the other 2 computers, the P4C800 running Server 2003 restarts, picks back up as 1Gb/s. Ok, so I try it on the A8N-SLI Deluxe system running XP Pro, works fine as well, restarts or shuts down and comes back on as 1Gb/s. Now I'm a little confused, as I'm normally pretty good at this stuff, this one totally has me stumped, so I decided to register and see if the guys here on the Hard Forums could give me a hand, maybe I missed something simple, or I'm doing something wrong, I'm more than willing to try just about anything, because resetting this switch everyday when I turn my system on is going to get annoying very quickly. So any help you guys can give me would be absolutely great. I'll be watching the thread hoping to hear from you guys. Thanks!
