Gigabit or Nvidia LAN

In my house we have the little RJ45 cables in the walls and we networked computers together. I have a gigabit LAN port and i also have the Nvidia LAN port on my A7N8X-E Deluxe M/B. Which port would be faster and use less of the CPU. Right now i have the Nvidia LAN disabled, should it be vice versa.

In theory the Giga will be faster if the rest of the system is Giga too, otherwise it does not matter.

However you can try both and measure the actual result using this: <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.ixiacom.com/products/performance_applications/pa_display.php?skey=pa_q_check">A FREE Utility for Network Troubleshooting from NetIQ!</a>).

You install the master program on one computer, and End point Client on all other computers on the Network.
