I'm fairly clueless when it comes to IGP.

If I'm using a GA-H97M-D3H with an i5 4460, can I run dual monitors (HDMI and DVI) with it? I assume so, but just want to make sure.

Triple-Display Configurations for the Onboard Graphics:
Triple-display configurations are supported after you install motherboard drivers in OS. Only dual-display configurations are supported during the BIOS Setup or POST process.

That's from the board manual, but it's not clear if that means both Z97 and H97 chipsets.

Well it does dual, but I can't have them both plugged in at same time? Gets stuck at bios splash screen.

Check for BIOS settings that would enable multiple display mode.

I did and didn't find anything. Sadly, I was setting this up at a friends studio and really didn't have access to the internet besides my phone at the time.

It's odd - If I boot it with HDMI and VGA plugged in, both screens get the bios splash screen "America Megatrend" or whatever and nothing else (no CPU/memory detection) and just hangs there.

If I boot with just the VGA in, and let it get to Windows login, THEN I can plug in the HDMI and everything falls into place.
